How To Utilize Filters & Sorting

Using Filters & Sorting

Filters and sorting tools help you quickly organize and locate assets when managing multiple devices.

These tools are available within List View on the Asset Details page.

Using Filters

Filters allow you to narrow the asset list based on specific criteria.

Common filter examples include:

  • Asset Name

  • Device ID

  • Groups Or Categories

  • Custom Column Values

  • Recent Activity

Applying filters allows you to quickly focus on a specific group of assets without scanning your entire asset list.

Custom Columns

You can also create custom columns within the List View to track additional information about your assets. Custom columns allow you to organize and sort assets based on data that is important to your organization, such as:

  • Asset Owner

  • Department Or Team

  • Equipment Type

  • Internal Asset ID

  • Operational Status Or Notes

You can create up to 10 custom columns, giving you additional ways to list, sort, and organize assets directly within the asset table.

Sorting Assets

Assets can be sorted by selecting a column header in List View. Sorting can be applied to both default fields and any custom columns you create.

Common sorting options include:

  • Asset Name

  • Device ID

  • Last Seen Activity

  • Custom Column Values

Sorting and custom columns together allow you to structure your asset list in a way that best fits your workflow.
